All are welcome to join the Maryland Poor People’s Campaign in a celebration of the power of the arts to inspire our movement! Join us on Sunday, May 1, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Westminster, MD.
Share food, music, art, & fellowship. Bring a dish for the potluck lunch. Beverages & paper goods provided.
Learn about the powerful songs that motivate us as we make a joyful noise together! Musicians are encouraged to bring instruments. Create a banner & other art projects to be used at the Poor People’s and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington on June 18th and at other events. All art materials provided. Discover more about the history of the Poor People’s Campaign and the vital role we all have in bringing about a moral revolution. It is time to nonviolently disrupt, protest, shake up and alter the direction of our nation towards love, truth, justice, and equal protection under the law.
